Buggy walk at the Sanctuary on 4 September
Buggy Walks are an initiative aimed at raising awareness of the Region’s Parks and Forests, and encouraging new parents to socialise and exercise in a healthy environment. The walks are organised by Sport Wellington Region, the Lion Foundation and Greater Wellington Regional Council. On average, attendance for Buggy Walks is approximately 160 mums, dads, grandparents and children under 5 years of age attend the Buggy Walks.
This walk will be lead by Sport Wellington Region and Greater Wellington Regional Council and will take you past most of the major attractions and key habitat areas.
The cost of this walk is $9.60pp. Under-fives are free. All proceeds go towards ecological restoration at the Sanctuary. Meet at 10am for a coffee and a brief prior to the walk commencing at 10.15am. The track is predominantly flat, with some gradual gradient. Please ensure you have good walking shoes and pumped up tyres. The walk will go ahead rain or shine.

A special one-hour guided tour with a Sanctuary ranger is also available for anyone who is interested. The cost is $17.60/adult, $8.80/children 5-16 years (includes general admission). The tour departs at 10.30am and must be pre-booked.

General admission is paid at the Visitor Centre on arrival.
Guided tour payment is required when your booking is made. No bookings for this tour can be made on the day of the Buggy Walk.
